Jay Bharat Cultural Club won the title in the FAO Second Division League, defeating Uday Club 1-0 in the last super league match at the floodlit Barabati Stadium in Cuttack today. After a barren first-half, Santosh Das scored the all-important goal in the 55th minute. Earlier in the penultimate super league match Anchalika Sports Association got walk-over against Mangala Club.
Champions Jay Bharat Cultural Club received a cheque Rs 25,000 and were promoted to the FAO First Division League, 2014. Runners-up Uday Club became richer by Rs 15,000.
The Second Division League, which commenced on July 11, was reduced from 15 to 13 teams Postal Accounts Recreation Club and Telecom pulled out from the beginning. Teams were divided into four groups and after the group league, top team from each group qualified for the super league.
